Dave Burwick
Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo North America Beverages
As chief marketing officer, Dave Burwick oversees all branding, consumer promotions and sports marketing for PepsiCo North America Beverages (NAB). In this role, he is responsible for almost all of the beverage brands including the Pepsi-Cola, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, Aquafina and SoBe trademarks.
Burwick has held his current role since August 2008. Previously, he served as EVP, Commercial, for PepsiCo International, a unit that comprises all PepsiCo businesses in the U.K., Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, he was President of Pepsi-QTG Canada, where he delivered strong results across all businesses, positioning the division for continued growth.
A 20-year veteran of PepsiCo, Burwick has held several brand marketing positions. From 2002-2005, he was SVP and Chief Marketing Officer for Pepsi-Cola North America, responsible for brand marketing, innovation, consumer promotions, sports marketing and consumer insights. Prior to that, he served as SVP of Marketing for all of Pepsi’s carbonated soft drink trademarks. From late 1998 to early 2000, as VP of Marketplace Initiative Development, he led the team that established Pepsi’s groundbreaking Internet marketing alliance with Yahoo! Burwick began his career at Pepsi in 1989 as an assistant brand manager for Diet Pepsi. He later helped Mountain Dew become the fastest-growing major soft drink of the 1990s.
Burwick received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA in History from Middlebury College. He, his wife Carey, and their four children reside in Connecticut.
